Passages
All the "Passage" paintings have a layer of silver etching ink underneath the painted areas. This protects the paper from destruction by the oil. The paper is handmade, from Dieu Donne paper mill in New York City.
These spaces are often rough and ancient, meant to embody some of the relationship between humans and the earth that we shape. All of the images in this series were inspired by actual spaces.
